FRIENDS: CANVAS Shop in Seal Beach, CA

Run and curated by Ryan and Tammy Callis, the Canvas Shop in Seal Beach, CA is a diamond in the rough if there ever was one. Their daily mission is to not only make fantastic custom canvas products but also sell goods whose makers share a common passion for craftsmanship and community.

Historically speaking, the shop has actually been around for quite some time. Long before becoming a brilliant little boutique, the business functioned solely as custom canvas upholstery depot. From canvas vessel covers to protective patio furnishings, there’s pretty much nothing these seamsters can’t whip up. Since taking things over in recent years, the Callis family has fully transformed the shop into a two sided coin or sorts.

You see, their little operation is quite literally split in half. Walk in the front door and you find ‘the attic you wish you had’ stocked with of all kinds of goodies like golden arrow trinkets, crocheted bicycle dress guards and even wooden bodysurfing handplanes. Take the scenic route and you’ll discover a spacious, well-outfitted workshop with plenty of tinkering space for the aforementioned custom orders. We like to think of it like a reverse mullet… you know, “Party in the front. Business in the back”. It’s glorious.

So, it is with great joy that we announce that a selection of hand-crafted FLY CANVAS goods will now be sold under the Canvas roof. We are simply over the moon to be amongst the amazing product offering there. If you’re ever cruising down Highway 1 (otherwise known as Pacific Coast Highway) make it a point to pop in, talk story and do a few laps. Chances are you will walk out with a bag full of unique goodies and a mighty big smile.

You can find them online here and in real life here.
